3C Cardinals Match Report (14th January 2012)

One Day Competition - Cranfield Glass 3C Cardinals vs Prebbleton, 3C,  Prebbleton, 14th January 2012

Cranfield Glass 3C Cardinals win first game in Top 6

In their first game of the top 6 the Cardinals travelled out to Prebbleton and try and redeem their first round loss. This pitch has got to be one of the best in Christchurch along with the outfield. Batting first the Cardinals made a rather healthy 239 all out (off only 32 overs) with Ben Larter again leading the side with an outstanding knock of 147 (20 x 4s, 5 x 6s). He was assisted with small knocks from Sam Perry, Jamie Livingstone and Craig Ross.

Prebleton never really looked in the chase with tight bowling from everyone and some exceptional keeping from Larter. Perry on his return to the Cardinals XI finished with 3 wickets with Livingstone and Ross picking up 2. Pete O'Shea took his first Cardinals wicket ever.

Larter was crowned Old Mout Cider Player of the Day with Livingstone and Perry collecting the other MVP points.

Once again the Cardinals would like to thank their sponsors, Cranfield Glass, Old Mout Cider and Brumbys Barrington.
